
LA Galaxy to Open 2015 MLS Season March 6 at StubHub Center

CARSON, Calif. (Friday, Dec. 19, 2014) - The LA Galaxy and Major League Soccer announced today that the 2015 MLS Regular Season will open with a match between the Galaxy and the Chicago Fire at StubHub Center on Friday, March 6 beginning at 7 p.m. PT. The game will be broadcast live nationally on UniMás.
The match will mark the 40th time that the Galaxy have faced Chicago in the MLS Regular Season and just the second time the clubs will face each other in the opening game of the season. The previous match also occurred when the Galaxy were the returning MLS Cup champions as the clubs played on March 3, 2013. The Galaxy are 9-8-2 all time in opening matches.
In 2014, the Galaxy went 12-1-4 at StubHub Center during the regular season, scoring 44 goals and allowing just 14.
Each MLS team will play in 34 MLS Regular Season matches for the 2015 season, with 17 at home and 17 on the road. Full times, opponents, and broadcast information for these games will be announced at a later date.
The 2015 season is the first of Major League Soccer's eight-year television and media rights partnerships with ESPN, FOX Sports and Univision networks.
Season tickets for the 2015 MLS season are on sale now, starting as low as $247 for a full season plan.
