Whitecaps FC Celebrate Volunteers from 2010 Winter Olympics and Paralympics

VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced on Wednesday special home opener ticket pricing in honour of Blue Jacket volunteers from the 2010 Winter Olympics and Paralympics.

Fans can apply the code BLUEJACKET via whitecapsfc.com/2010 to redeem a discount on tickets to the club's 2020 home opener. Additionally, 2010 Olympic and Paralympic volunteers who wear their Blue Jackets to the February 29 match against Sporting Kansas City will be invited to participate in a post-match photo on the pitch at BC Place.

"The Games in Vancouver would not have been possible without the thousands of Blue Jacket volunteers that helped make them such an incredible success," said Mark Pannes, CEO of Whitecaps FC. "As a club, it's important for us to remember and celebrate these volunteers and their contributions to one of the most historic sporting events in our city."

This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Olympics and Paralympics in Vancouver. Local, national and international volunteers became iconic thanks to their bright blue outerwear worn throughout the 2010 Games.
