They are extremely motivated to showcase their abilities and help improve our club. Today is an important step in building our roster; however, it is only the start of the process as we look to next season and beyond."

Whitecaps FC goalkeeper Maxime Crépeau

Crépeau, 24, arrives in Vancouver following an impressive season on loan with USL side Ottawa Fury FC, where he recorded a USL single-season record of 15 clean sheets in 31 appearances. For his efforts, the Canadian keeper was named the USL Goalkeeper of the Year and Fury's Player of the Year, and was a member of the USL All-League First Team. Crépeau also recorded two clean sheets in four starts in the 2018 Canadian Championship with Ottawa.

A native of Greenfield Park, Quebec, Crépeau originally joined the Montreal Impact Academy in 2010 and played with the club's U-21 team for three seasons before earning a first-team contract in March 2013. During the 2015 and 2016 seasons, Crépeau made 30 starts with the Impact's USL side FC Montreal, and in 2017 he made three starts in MLS regular season play and four starts in the Canadian Championship with the Impact. The Canadian international has earned two caps with Canada's senior team and has represented the Red and White at the U-17, U-20, and U-23 levels.

Whitecaps FC goalkeeper Zac MacMath

MacMath, 27, joins Whitecaps FC following four seasons with Colorado Rapids and four seasons with Philadelphia Union. During his time in Colorado, MacMath earned 10 clean sheets in 41 appearances across all competitions. Notably, MacMath was named Colorado's co-Most Valuable Player with Tim Howard in 2016, when he posted a 9W-3L-5D regular season record.

Over eight seasons in MLS, the native of St. Petersburg, Florida has earned 39 clean sheets in 152 appearances across MLS play, the U.S. Open Cup, and the Concacaf Champions League. MacMath has represented the United States at the U-17, U-20, and U-23 levels. Off the pitch, he was named the Rapids Humanitarian of the Year for his work in the community in both 2017 and 2018.

Whitecaps FC left back/winger Victor "PC" Giro

PC, 24, arrives in Vancouver following two seasons with Orlando City SC. The native of Sao Paulo, Brazil, made 18 first-team appearances with the Lions, scoring one goal and adding one assist across all competitions.

Prior to joining MLS, PC recorded nine goals and eight assists in 59 league and cup appearances with Fort Lauderdale Strikers and Tampa Bay Rowdies of the NASL. Before arriving in Florida, PC spent 2014 with Portuguese side CF Os Belenenses and is a youth product of framed Brazilian club Corinthians.

Mezquida, a 26-year old native of Paysandu, Uruguay, scored 17 goals and added seven assists in 122 appearances across all competitions during his five seasons with Whitecaps FC.

Richey, a 26-year old native of Seattle, Washington, played last season on loan with then USL side FC Cincinnati. During his three seasons in Vancouver, Richey made five first-team starts with a 3W-2L-0D record and one shutout.

"We are thankful for the contributions Nico and Spencer made during their time in Vancouver and we wish them all the best," added Dos Santos.
