West Michigan Whitecaps News Release
With today's release Major League Baseball has confirmed league structures and other updates heading into the 2021 MiLB season. The announcement comes after MLB and the Detroit Tigers announced in December 2020 the promotion of the Whitecaps to the High-A affiliate designation.
"Being a long-time affiliate of the Detroit Tigers, and with our recent promotion to High-A, the Whitecaps could not be more excited or confident about the 2021 season, and MLB's expected announcement today formalizes many of those important details," said Jim Jarecki, VP and General Manager of the West Michigan Whitecaps. "Moving ahead, we know our fans have been patiently waiting for the Whitecaps baseball schedule for several months. As soon as we have it, we will get to work on adding game times, ticket on-sale dates and all the fun West Michigan is expecting!"
