
Whitecaps Even Up Series with 9-4 Victory

South Bend Silver Hawks News Release
South Bend, IN - The South Bend Silver Hawks were defeated this afternoon by the West Michigan Whitecaps by the score of 9-4. The Whitecaps had their way with Cristian Beltre (11-8) today. Beltre gave up 5 runs and 7 hits in 4 innings of work. Dan Fournier and Jordan Norberto did not fair much better. The duo gave up 4 runs and 8 hits in 5 innings of relief. The lone offensive highlight for the Hawks was Sean Coughlin's 3-run homerun in the 5th inning. The Silver Hawks and Whitecaps will play game 3 of their series on Monday. Game time is slated for 6:30 PM.
