
Wheeling's Soucy Suspended One Game

PRINCETON, N.J. - The East Coast Hockey League announced on Wednesday that Wheeling defenseman J.P. Soucy has been suspended one game for his actions in ECHL Game 17 at Dayton on October 12.
At the 19:23 mark of the third period, Soucy used a spearing motion to strike a Dayton player in the back of the leg, knocking the Dayton player to the ice. For his actions, Soucy was assessed a minor penalty for slashing. Following a review of the game tape, Soucy is assessed a one-game suspension under Rule 33(a) Supplementary Discipline.
Soucy will miss Wheeling's game at Atlantic City (Oct. 18).
