
MeiGray Group Named ''Official Game-Worn Jersey Source of the ECHL''

PRINCETON, N.J. Â The East Coast Hockey League announced on Wednesday that The MeiGray Group has been named "The Official Game-Worn Jersey Source of the East Coast Hockey League". It marks the first time that game-worn jerseys from all ECHL teams will be made available to hockey fans and sports collectors around the world.
The MeiGray Group, who signed a multi-year agreement with the ECHL, is the hockey world's leading distributor of game-worn jerseys and has been named the "Official Game-Worn Jersey Source of the 2003 Compuware/ECHL All-Star Game". The Branchburg, N.J., company also partners with the National Hockey League in the new NHL-MGG "Game-Worn Jersey Authentication Program".
"MeiGray through its commitment and participation in the 2002 Sovereign Bank/ECHL All-Star Game," said Glen Thornborough, ECHL Vice President of Marketing and Sales. "MeiGray helped the ECHL raise more than $22,000 for the Twin Towers Fund through its charity auction of game-worn jerseys from the All-Star Game. The ECHL is excited with MeiGray's role in providing fans and collectors with some of the most creative jerseys in hockey."
Each ECHL team will wear one set of home jerseys and one set of road jerseys for the first half of the season and another set for the second half. MeiGray will own the exclusive rights to the jerseys worn during the first half of the season while the teams will own the exclusive rights to jerseys worn for the second half as well as all specialty jerseys and Kelly Cup Playoff jerseys.
