
Wheeling's Crampton Suspended Three Games

PRINCETON, N.J. - The East Coast Hockey League announced on Wednesday that Wheeling forward Steve Crampton has been suspended three games for his actions in ECHL Game # 17 at Dayton on October 12.
At 11:26 of the second period, Crampton delivered a forceful two-handed slash to the leg of a Dayton player. For his actions, Crampton was assessed a major penalty and a game misconduct for slashing. Crampton has been assessed a three-game suspension under Rule 33(a) Supplementary Discipline.
Crampton will miss Wheeling's games at Atlantic City (Oct. 18), vs. Peoria (Oct. 19) and vs. Peoria (Oct. 20).
