Tonight's Matchup: The Brandon Wheat Kings open up a busy stretch of hockey tonight in Swift Current. Brandon will play four games in five nights with stops in Medicine Hat and Lethbridge along the way. Tonight is the second meeting against the Broncos in five days and the fifth meeting of the season.
Last Time Out 3-2 OTL vs Swift Current: Connor Hvidston scored 2:36 into overtime as Bronces handed the Wheat Kings just their third extra-time loss of the season. The Wheat Kings outshot the Broncos 49-25 but ran into a red hot Reid Dyck between the pipes for the Broncos. Chad Nychuk led the way with a goal and two assists.

Second Half Resurgence: Since a December 1st loss in Swift Current, the Wheat Kings have been one of the best teams in the WHL. Brandon has only lost three times in regulation in that span, posting a record of 12-3-2-1 and collecting 27 points in the process.
Jump Up, Chip In: Chad Nychuk enters play tonight, riding a career-high six-game point streak. The former Yellowhead AAA Chief has 2 goals and 8 assists in his last six games, including a three-point night on Friday vs the Broncos. Nychuk has at least a point in nine of his last eleven games.
Find the Groove: The Wheat Kings scored twice on the powerplay on Friday night, snapping an 0/17 stretch, the longest of the season for the BWK. Ridly Greig and Nate Danielson are tied for the team lead with five powerplay markers each.
Roster Moves: After making his WHL debut on Friday, forward Roger McQueen has been assigned to his AAA U18 club, the Saskatoon Blazers. McQueen and his Blazers teammates welcome Swift Current tomorrow night. Meanwhile, goaltender Carson Bjarnason did not travel with the team this week due to personal reasons. 2004 born Nick Jones has been recalled from the Calgary AAA Buffalos. Jake Chiasson and Mason Ward remain out with injuries.
