Wheat Kings Blank ICE 5-0 in Pre-Season Opener

Winnipeg, MB - Ty Thorpe scored two goals and Vincent Iorio collected three assists as the Brandon Wheat Kings blanked the Winnipeg ICE 5-0 in WHL pre-season action at Westoba Place on Friday night.

The game was the first of the pre-season for both clubs.

Wheat Kings goaltenders Ethan Kruger and Connor Ungar combined to make 35 saves in the victory.

Will Gurski blocked 23-of-27 in 40-minutes of work for the ICE, while Daniel Hauser stopped 6-of-7 in the third period.
