Whalers double up Otters

Chris Terry scored a goal and four assist to lead the Plymouth Whalers to a 6-3 win over the Erie Otters in an Ontario Hockey League game played this afternoon in front of 3,221 at the Tullio Arena. Matt Caria added two goals and an assist for the Whalers, who won for the fourth straight time to move to 34-23-5-0 on the season. Ryan Hayes, Tyler Seguin and Tyler J. Brown also scored for Plymouth. Zack Torquato paced the Otters with two goals and an assist. Justin Hodgman netted the other goal for the Otters, who dropped to 30-28-3-1 with the loss. The Whalers led 3-0 after one and 6-0 at the end of two. The Otters scored three times in the opening 12 minutes of the third to make it respectable. The Whalers out shot the Otters 36-26 in the game as Jaroslav Janus took the loss. The three stars of the game were 1. Terry; 2. Torquato and 3. Caria.

The Otters return to action Wednesday night at the Tullio Arena when the Owen Sound Attack visit for a 7 p.m. game presented by Huffman Family Chiropractic.
