WHITE PLAINS, January 27, 2015 - The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA Development League affiliate of the New York Knickerbockers, announced today that the team has acquired and subsequently waived guard Reggie Hearn in a trade with the Idaho Stampede in exchange for the Westchester's fourth round pick in the 2015 NBA D-League Draft.
In two seasons with the Stampede, Hearn, 6-4, 210 pounds out of Northwestern, averaged 8.1 points, and 3.1 rebounds over 25.2 minutes.
The Westchester Knicks return home for back-to-back games against the Sioux Falls Skyforce, the Miami Heat's affiliate, starting Friday, Jan. 30 at 7 p.m. The game, presented by Entergy Corporation, will highlight and benefit Today's Students, Tomorrow's Teachers, a unique school-based mentoring program that recruits and mentors culturally diverse and economically challenged high school students who are interested in pursuing a career in teaching.
