New York Liberty News Release
Hey Libs fans, we hope you've recovered from the week after coming off an always welcome holiday weekend. The team has returned from its longest road trip of the summer to prepare for its next match-up, taking place at The Garden on Saturday against the Shock at 7:30 p.m.
If you're coming to the game on Saturday night, don't forget your new, unwrapped toy to donate to the Liberty-Garden of Dreams annual Toy Drive [http://msgnyc.com/index.cfm?n35043s8500c12475238t8524o57035]. The first 500 fans to bring their toys to the mall area leading up to the box office will receive a Liberty magnet set. Be a part of our team and help brighten the lives of kids in the tri-state area!
The last time you saw us on our home court was June 26, in the now historic triple-overtime win over the Fever. Speaking of the Fever, we all know what's coming up next weekend - the Liberty Outdoor Classic [http://msgnyc.com/index.cfm?n35043s8500c12475238t8524o59219]. That's right, we'll be making pro basketball history on Saturday, the 19th against Indiana at Arthur Ashe Stadium, for the first regular season outdoor game. The season series is tied at 1-1 now after that June 26 victory at The Garden. Don't miss out on being a part of history, go here [http://msgnyc.com/index.cfm?n35043s8500c12475238t8524o57038] for tickets - they're going fast!
Over on NYLiberty.com [http://msgnyc.com/index.cfm?n35043s8500c12475238t8524o20], we caught up with some famous faces [http://msgnyc.com/index.cfm?n35043s8500c12475238t8524o59220] to get their reaction to the team playing in the great outdoors next weekend. We also have a profile of Cathrine Kraayeveld [http://msgnyc.com/index.cfm?n35043s8500c12475238t8524o59221], to get to know some of her quirks on-and-off the court.
NFL great Boomer Esiason is pumped for the season, as he welcomed Essence Carson and Janel McCarville to his studio to chat about how the summer is going so far.
