
Wenatchee Wild Fall to Bismarck

Bismarck, ND. - Stanislav Dzakhov scored three times Saturday night to lead the Bismarck Bobcats to a 5-2 win over the Wenatchee Wild at the VFW Sports Center.
Bismarck took the lead early in the the opening period on a goal from Evan Giesler at 1:11, assisted by Filip Starzynski and Tony German, for a 1-0 lead. The lead grew late in the period when Dzakhov scored his first, from Nick Wallace and Giesler at 19:06, giving the Bobcats a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes.
Wenatchee would cut into the deficit early in the second on a Parker Tuomie (Biemerhaven, Germany) goal, with Kyle Buffardi (Westminster, California) assisting just 30 seconds into the second, drawing the Wild to within 2-1. 46 seconds later, however, Bismarck's Starzynski reestablished the Cats' two-goal lead, assisted by Nate Repensky and Giesler at 1:16. The Bismarck lead grew to 4-1 in the final minute of the period when Dzakhov scored his second, assisted by Nick Wallace and Geisler, putting the Bobcats on top 4-1 through two.
In the third, Tuomie tallied a shorthanded goal from Troy Loggins (Huntington Beach, California) at 1:18, but Dzakhov would round out his hat trick, scoring into an empty net, assisted by Repensky and Starzynski at 18:35, giving Bismarck the 5-2 lead and the win. "We got beat by a very good, well coached team this weekend" said Wenatchee Head Coach Bliss Littler. "Lots of lessons to learn from the weekend. Time to get back to Wenatchee and regroup."
The Bobcats outshot Wenatchee on the night 40-22. Chase Perry (Andover, Minnesota) made 35 saves for the Wild, Aaron Nelson had 20 stops for Bismarck. Wenatchee was 0-for-6 on the power play and 5-of-5 with a shorthanded goal on the penalty kill.
The Bobcats improve to 4-2-0; The Wild is now 3-3-0.
