April 7, 2015 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Wenatchee Wild News Release

Going into Game Two, two outcomes were possible; the Wild could win and end this series or the Ice Rays could take the game and force a Game Three. Due to relentless determination and an unbreakable drive to push forward, the Wild will be moving on to the second round of these Robertson Cup playoffs. In front of a crowd nearing 1,765, Wenatchee was able to deny Corpus Christi their second round pass and continue on with their own journey to ultimate success with a close 3-2 final score. As this game came to a close, Colin Burston, Mike Coyne, and August Von Ungern-Sternberg were awarded as the match's 3 Stars of the Game.

Wenatchee ended the first period on a 2-0 lead, but it was all started five minutes into the frame when Colin Burston broke the ice as he put the puck away behind Corpus Christi's netminder Andrew Lindgren. August Von Ungern-Sternberg and Tyler Rockwell picked up the first assists of the game. Eight minutes later, Mike Coyne gave the Wild their two point advantage with the help of Kyle Stephan.

There was no scoring in the game's second period, but twelve minutes and thirty eight seconds into the third, Von Ungern-Sternberg gave the Wild their third and final point which would ultimately propel the team into the second round. Trying to close the scoring gap as quickly as possible, the Ice Rays gained their first point of the game 17 minutes into the frame when Tanner Lomsnes lit the lamp on a power play extra attacker goal with the assistance of Anthony Cortese. Roughly one and a half minutes later, Connor Kelly netted the last goal of this series when he was fed the puck by Wes Michaud and Cortese.

Wenatchee ended this game outshooting the IceRays 47-26 and taking two penalties. Infractions were taken by Kyle Stepan (Slashing) and Ryan Chiasson (Head Contact).

Michael Bullion was in net for 59:45 minutes and was able to save 24 total shots on goal.

Coach Littler stated, "Its nice to win a series against such a well coached team. I thought we played exceptionally well for 57 minutes. Overall we got very good goaltending both nights. I'm proud of our compete level and our ability not to retaliate to the questionable stuff. Moving on to Lone Star."
