North Little Rock, AR - The Arkansas Travelers edged the Tulsa Drillers 2-1 on Tuesday night at Dickey-Stephens Park.

RHP Blayne Weller (W, 1-3) earned his first victory in the Angels organization with 6.1 strong innings. The righty allowed only two hits, one of which was solo home run to CF Alex Verdugo, with one walk and four strikeouts. The 6.1 innings was a season-long for Weller.

LHP Tyler DeLoach relieved Weller and struck out each of the first four batters he faced, including back-to-back opponents with LF Jacob Scavuzzo on second base as the tying run in the seventh.

RHP Austin Wood (S, 3) retired the final batter of the game to pick up the save.

Trailing 1-0 in the fourth with two outs and a runner on first, RF Cal Towey drove a 2-2 pitch over the head of center fielder Verdugo for an RBI double to tie the game.

CF Chad Hinshaw's RBI single in the fifth gave Arkansas the lead. Hinshaw finished 2-for-4 with the double, RBI and his team-leading ninth stolen base.

Travs 2B Alex Yarbrough finished 2-for-4 with two doubles.

Drillers starter RHP Trevor Oaks (L, 1-1) allowed two runs on eight hits over six innings, and RHP Ralston Cash worked the final two innings without allowing a run.

The Travs finished 2-for-14 with runners in scoring position.

The 10-hit game was Arkansas' fourth in the last five games.

The one-run game was the fourth in five games between the two teams.

With the win, Arkansas improved to 11-14 on the season. Game two of the four-game series is scheduled for Wednesday morning at 11 a.m.
