ICE CHIPS: The KOOTENAY ICE enter this week's action with a 1-5-1-1 record (0-2-1-0 at home, 1-3-0-1 on the road, 1-1 in overtime, 0-1 in shootouts) and in sixth place in the CENTRAL DIVISION...The ICE will play six of the next seven games on home ice beginning with matchups October 14 versus REGINA and October 15 against RED DEER.

ROSTER UPDATE: KOOTENAY is carrying 24 players (three goaltenders, seven defensemen and 14 forwards)...The ICE roster is made up of three 1996-born players, four 1997-born players, nine 1998-born players, five 1999-born players, and three 2000-born players...KOOTENAY has nine first-year players on its roster.

INJURIES: Forward KAEDEN TAPHORN will be out of the ICE lineup day to day with an upper body injuryDefenseman SAM HUSTON will be out of the KOOTENAY lineup one to two weeks with an upper body injuryForward SHANE ALLAN will be out of the ICE lineup indefinitely with a lower body injury.

ONE YEAR AGO: After eight games of the 2015-16 season the ICE were 1-7-0-0, after nine games 2-7-0-0 and after ten games 2-8-0-0.
