Weekly: Bulldogs Face Division Rivals in Three of Four Games this Week

Following a home-and-home split with the Lake Erie Monsters this past weekend, the Hamilton Bulldogs head into an important stretch this week with four games, including three against divisional opponents.

On Tuesday, Dec. 2, the 'Dogs will visit the Adirondack Flames (American Hockey League affiliate of the Calgary Flames) for the first time at Glens Falls Civic Center in Glens Falls, N.Y. at 7 p.m. The 'Dogs have dropped both games against the Flames so far this season. Tuesday's game will be the third of eight meetings between the teams this season.

On Friday, Dec. 5, Hamilton will host the Toronto Marlies (AHL affiliate of the Toronto Maple Leafs) at 7:30 p.m. at FirstOntario Centre in the fifth of 12 meetings between the teams this season and the first half of a weekend home-and-home series. The two teams will be back at it on Saturday, Dec. 6 when the Bulldogs will visit the Marlies at Ricoh Coliseum in Toronto, Ont. at 5 p.m. Hamilton is 3-0-1-0 against Toronto so far this season.

On Sunday, Dec. 7, the 'Dogs will round out a three-games-in-three-nights weekend with a match against the Texas Stars (AHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars) at FirstOntario Centre at 3 p.m. in the first of four games between the two teams this season.

MILITARY APPRECIATION NIGHT - FRIDAY, DEC. 5

The Hamilton Bulldogs have announced details for Military Appreciation Night in support of the Marcus Cirillo Trust on Friday, Dec. 5 versus the Toronto Marlies. Prior to the game, the Bulldogs will honour the late Cpl. Nathan Cirillo and the service and sacrifice of all of those that serve in the Canadian Armed Forces.

The Bulldogs will wear a special commemorative jersey during the game. The jersey, designed in conjunction with representatives of the Cirillo family and SP Apparel, is a tribute to Cpl. Cirillo's ceremonial attire with the cap and badge of his regiment on the shoulder and pant shell. The team will also wear black helmets donated by Reebok-CCM.

The game-worn jerseys, pant shells and helmets are now available for bid at www.bulldogsauction.com. The auction will run until Sunday, Dec. 7 at 6 p.m. If last-second bids are being submitted, the closing time will be extended by two minutes per bid.

TOY TOSS NIGHT - FRIDAY, DEC. 12

Join the Bulldogs for their annual Toy Toss Night on Dec. 12 when the 'Dogs take on the Rochester Americans at FirstOntario Centre at 7:30 p.m. Bring a stuffed toy to the game and get ready to toss it to the ice when Hamilton scores its first goal. All donations at the game will go the CHML/Y108/953 Fresh FM Children's Fund, which will disperse the toys to local charities in time for Christmas.
