Weekend Preview: Havoc Ride Six-Game Point Streak

HUNTSVILLE, AL- The Havoc, riding a six-game point streak, will travel to Southaven for one game before the holiday break.

Friday Dec. 23rd At Mississippi 7 p.m. CT

This past weekend, the Havoc traveled to Florida for the final time this season and took both games against the Pensacola Ice Flyers.

Huntsville scored two goals two minutes apart from each other in both games while tallying the game's first point in Friday's 3-1 victory.

Friday's win marked the first victory for the away team in the season-series between the two clubs with Saturday's contest becoming the first with the team to score first seeing the loss.

The Havoc scored two or more in both second periods over the weekend; marking the third time in last four overall registering two or more goals in the middle frame.

Huntsville did not give up a power play goal in both games over the weekend against Pensacola and have no allowed a man-advantage goal in four of five against the Ice Flyers this year.

Vs. Mississippi

The Havoc travel to Southaven for the second time in as many weeks for one game this Friday versus the Mississippi RiverKings.

In the first meeting of the year, Huntsville kicked the scoring off in the second period after a scoreless first. In a back and forth game all night long, the RiverKings scored in the final five minutes of regulation to send it to overtime and eventually a shootout where the Havoc registered a standings point in the 4-3 game.

Both teams come into tonight's game with a six-game point streak including a two-game winning streak. Huntsville and Mississippi are tied for second in the standings with 29 points with the Havoc holding a game in hand.

Friday's action marks the second of three trips on the year to the Magnolia State. Huntsville will travel back to Mississippi on Tuesday March 14th with the final matchup of the season series on April 1st.

The two clubs have entered the second period scoreless in two straight meetings with three of last nine overall tied after one.

There have been 35 lead changes in the last nine games dating back to November 24th, 2015 with Huntsville winning five.

The team to win special teams battle has gone on to win seven of the last nine.

Tateson Update

Justin Tateson, who was involved in an altercation on the ice in Saturday's 4-2 win, will be evaluated this week for a lower body injury.
