Knoxville Ice Bears News Release
Knoxville, TN - The Knoxville Ice Bears are hosting a seminar on breaking into the professional sports industry. The event will be held on Saturday, January 28th from 2:00 - 5:00 pm at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum and is $40 to attend.
The event will be led by a key note speech from Marty Mulford, who is the Senior Director of Service and Retention for the Nashville Predators, a panel discussion from key leaders in the sports industry from East Tennessee, a career fair, a copy of the book "Sports Industry Fast Pass" and a ticket to the Ice Bears game that evening.
The inaugural event is designed to attract people interested in learning about how to enter the sports job market: whether the person is looking for schools that specialize in sports management, graduating and seeking insight on applying for jobs or a professional looking to change careers.
"Hosting this event will be the first of its kind for us despite having 4 former interns/employees working now in the NHL. We are always shaping our sport around entertainment and a great experience. That requires great people that work in the front office. This event will bring great insight into how to get involved," said President Mike Murray.
To register please email Meaghan Liner at Meaghan@knoxvilleicebears.com or call the Ice Bears office at 865-525-7828. Due to limited space for the event, registrants will be placed in the order they are received.
