NORWICH, CT- The Connecticut Tigers the short season affiliate of the Detroit Tigers have an exciting three days of activities planned at Dodd Stadium for the weekend of July 31st-August 2nd.
On Friday the Tigers are set to host the West Virginia Black Bears, affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, at 7:05 p.m. The July 31st matchup will feature First Responders Night presented by Backus and Windham Hospitals. The night is one to celebrate and honor those that serve our communities. In addition, any Police, Fire, or EMT/EMS can get a reserved ticket and food voucher redeemable for a hot dog, bag of chips, and bottled beverage for just $7 that night only at the box office. Friday night's game will also feature a postgame firework show presented by US Foods and Pyrotecnico!
Saturday August 1st will feature Star Wars night at Dodd Stadium and a 2015-2016 CT Tigers Calendar giveaway! The giveaway will be for the first 1,000 fans in attendance and is presented by CT D.O.T. Work Zone Awareness Campaign. Game time is at 7:05 p.m. with the gates opening at 6:00 p.m. For Star Wars Night come dressed as your favorite character and get ready for the next installment in the series!
The weekend home stand wraps up with a Sunday Funday on August 2nd. The 4:05 p.m. start against the Black Bears features Kids Run the Bases presented by Ben & Jerry's and Have a Catch presented by Falvey's and ROXY 100.9 FM after the game. Sunday will also be Bark in the Park so bring your dog to the park and enjoy an afternoon of baseball.
Gates open one hour before each game so get to the stadium and enjoy a fun filled weekend at the ballpark!
The Connecticut Tigers are the New York-Penn League affiliate of the Detroit Tigers and play a 76 game schedule that runs from mid June through early September. 2015 season tickets, group tickets, mini plans, individual game tickets, and team merchandise are now on sale! The front office and ticket office is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and can be accessed in person or by calling 860-887-7962.
