Huntsville Havoc News Release
The Huntsville Havoc picked up a big win over the Columbus Cottonmouths 3-1 on the road Tuesday night before falling at home to Jacksonville 5-1 on Thursday night and 4-1 to Knoxville on Saturday afternoon.
Tuesday, February 26 - Huntsville 3, Columbus 1
COLUMBUS, Ga. - The Huntsville Havoc got two goals from Bill Monkman, one on the powerplay, in a 3-1 win over the Columbus Cottonmouths on the road Tuesday night.
Trevor Karasiewicz also netted a goal for the Havoc and James Patterson chipped in with three assists.
Craig Stahl scored the only Cottonmouths goal on the powerplay.
Matt Carmichael made 30 saves to pick up the win. Ryan Senft made 28 in the loss
Thursday, March 1 - Jacksonville 5, Huntsville 1
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The Jacksonville Barracudas won a wild game in Huntsville 5-1 Thursday night.
The game had 269 penalty minutes including a line brawl with 1:38 left in the game.
Tyrone Garner scored two goals for the Barracudas while Ryan Webb, Shane Wagner and Jason Cassells scored one each.
Travis Kauffeldt scored the lone goal for Huntsville.
Jacksonville scored on 3-of-19 power plays including one five-on-three. Huntsville was 0-of-10 with the man advantage.
Saturday, March 3 - Knoxville 4, Huntsville 1
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The Knoxville Ice Bears scored two goals on the power play on their way to a 4-1 win over the Huntsville Havoc Saturday afternoon.
Mike Tuomi, Kevin Swider, Marcus Forsberg and David Segal all netted goals for the Havoc.
Craig Bushey scored the lone Havoc goal on the power play in the second period.
Terry Dunbar recorded by stopping 23 shots. Matt Carmichael stopped 25 in the loss. The Ice Bears outshot Huntsville 29-24.
