KNOXVILLE, TN - The Huntsville Havoc saw their eight game winning streak come to an end tonight as they were beaten 6-3 by the Knoxville Ice Bears in Knoxville on Tuesday night.

The game was close through 40 minutes as the Havoc trailed 2-1 but the Ice Bears tallied three goals in the first six minutes of the third period to make it 4-2. Two of the goals came on the power play while the first goal was shorthanded.

The winning streak was the longest of the season for the Havoc and tied for second all-time in SPHL for victories with Knoxville. Columbus had won 11 games earlier in the season.

The Huntsville Havoc fell behind 2-0 in the opening period as Nathan Daly and K.C. Caudill tallied for the Ice Bears on goaltender Matt Carmichael. The Havoc had a goal called back when it appeared Mike O'Sullivan had scored after conferring with the linesman, the referee waived the goal off, after initially saying the goal was good, because the net was off its pegs.

In the second period the Havoc rallied to pull within one when Don Patrick scored his fifth of the year from Mike O'Sullivan and it was 2-1.
