SPRINGFIELD, MA Jan. 13, 2010 - The Springfield Armor invites all fans out to their "Cancer Awareness Knight-, proudly presented by Big Y World Class Markets, this Saturday when they take on The Maine Red Claws at 7 p.m. in the MassMutual Center in Downtown Springfield. The Armor, along with Big Y, encourage all fans to wear pink to Saturday's game. All those wearing pink will be eligible to enter a drawing for a $50 gift card to Big Y World Class Markets after donating a dollar to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation at the game.

Susan G. Komen for the Cure is fighting every minute of every day to finally; once and for all, finish what they started and achieve their vision of a world without breast cancer. Since 1982, Komen for the Cure has played a critical role in every major advance in the fight against breast cancer - transforming how the world talks about and treats this disease and helping to turn millions of breast cancer patients into breast cancer survivors.

On Saturday night, join in the Search for the Cure'„¢ and become part of the fight against breast cancer by making a contribution of $1, $10, $20 or whatever you can afford to support the work at Susan G. Komen for the Cure and have a chance to win a $50 Big Y gift card.

At the game Saturday night, donations will be collected at the Springfield Armor Table on the Concourse of the MassMutual Center outside of section 1. All donations from Saturday's game will be given to the Massachusetts affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation. In 2009 alone, over $300,000 in grants were sent to organizations in Western Massachusetts from the Foundation.

Tickets are still on sale for Saturday's game and can be purchased by logging on to www.armorhoops.com or by visiting the MassMutual Center Box Office. Box Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9-5, Saturday, 10- 4.
