
Mad Ants Acquire Rashad Anderson

Fort Wayne, IN (January 13, 2010)-The NBA D-League's Fort Wayne Mad Ants announced today that they have acquired Rashad Anderson. To make room on the roster the team has waived DeWitt Scott.
Anderson, a University of Connecticut standout, was waived by the Iowa Energy on January 9th. He was the 1st round pick of the Energy and the 9th pick overall. Anderson averaged 9.3 points per game in 16 games for the Energy. At Uconn he averaged 12. 8 points per game his senior season and earned All-Big East Honorable Mention honors. He played three seasons overseas in Greece and Italy from 2006-2009. During the 2008-09 season he finished 2nd in scoring in Italy's first division by averaging 18.2 points per game.
Scott, in his second season with the Ants, played in 18 games and averaged 3.3 points per game. During the 2008-09 season he shot just under 40% from the 3 point line averaging 7.9 points per game.
