Regina Pats News Release

Los Angeles, California - The Regina Pats are proud to have forward Jordan Weal selected in the 3rd round, 70th overall in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the Los Angeles Kings.

Weal, a native of North Vancouver, B.C., just completed an amazing 2nd season with the blue and white. He collected 35 goals and 67 assists for 102 points, finishing 3rd in the WHL in scoring, while never missing a game.

He has also had success away from the Pats, playing for Canada this past spring at the World U-18 Championships in Belarus. He was Canada's leading scorer with 3 goals and 6 assists, and was second on the team in plus/minus (+8) and penalty minutes (30).

He joins the same organization at Pats defenceman, Colten Teubert, who was a 1st round pick of the Kings in 2008.

Regina Pat players have had a great history at the NHL Entry Draft. Since 1994, a member of the blue and white has been selected every year except for one, 2004. During that span a total of 35 players have had their dreams come true by getting selected by an NHL club.

Since the inception of the NHL Entry/Amateur Draft in 1968, Weal becomes the 114 Regina Pat selected in the draft.

To see Jordan Weal and the rest of the Regina Pats for the upcoming 2010-11 season, purchase your season tickets now. Adult prices begin at just $199, which averages out to just over $5 per game!
