
Wawrow Commits To Wolves

The Sudbury Wolves are pleased to announce that 17-year-old defenceman, Drew Wawrow has committed to the hockey club. The 5'11, 185lbs. defenceman played last season with the Toronto Titans of the GTHL.
"Drew has an elite hockey mind and outstanding compete," said Rob Papineau, VP Hockey Operations & General Manager. "He was the best defenceman in the GTHL Major Midget last season and has incredible character. Drew is very much driven to be a pro."
"I am excited about the opportunity with the Wolves, but there is lots of work ahead," said Drew. "I have to thank the team for believing in me and for all my minor hockey mentors growing up. Mostly I have to thank my parents and grandparents for their constant support."
The Etobicoke native was selected by the Wolves in the 7th Round of the 2017 OHL Priority Selection. Drew is one of three players who committed to the team following Thursday's Blue & White game.
