Wave Selects Galex for Team Uniforms, Apparel

(Milwaukee, WI) The Milwaukee Wave, a member of the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) announced today that it has signed a two-year contract with Galex for the latter to become the club's official uniform and apparel supplier beginning with the upcoming 2004-05 season. The Italian based company, founded in Perugia in 1995, specializes in sport apparel for soccer, basketball, volleyball, fitness, and swimming.
"We are extremely excited about this new relationship," stated Mike Lafferty, Chief Operating Officer for the Wave. "Galex' new merchandise line will allow the Wave to offer a full catalog of quality apparel wear at affordable prices. Not only will we offer authentic replica jerseys, warm-ups, hats and polos, but also a complete line of league uniform kits as well. The Wave joins a growing list of professional soccer clubs who have partnered with Galex, including Italian powerhouse A.C. Perugia. More than 1000 professional and amateur sports teams currently wear Galex uniforms and apparel.

Milwaukee's home uniform kit includes blue shirts, white shorts, and blue socks. Milwaukee's road kits will have white shirts, blue shorts, and white socks.
The Wave opens the 2004-05 regular season this Saturday night (10/23, 7 PM) when it takes on the Chicago Storm in the Storm's first-ever MISL contest at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago, IL. Air time for the radio broadcast on 540 AM, WRRD ("The Word) is 6:45 PM.
Milwaukee's home opener is slated for Friday, October 29, 7:05 PM when the Wave hosts the Storm at U.S. Cellular Arena featuring a post-game concert by the popular local group "The Love Monkeys."
