KiXX Battle the Cleveland Force in 2004-05 Season Opener

Philadelphia, PA, October 22, 2004 – The Philadelphia KiXX will kick-off their 2004-05 Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) season versus Eastern Division foe, the Cleveland Force, on Saturday, October 23. Game-time at the Convocation Center at CSU is scheduled for 7:05 pm ET. The contest can be heard live via webcast at www.PennLive.com.

The contest marks an exciting match-up as the KiXX square-off against former player/coach Omid Namazi, now coaching Cleveland, and ex-teammates Gary DePalma and Chris Handsor; all three were members of Philadelphia's championship team in 2001-02. The Force acquired DePalma in a trade that also involved the St. Louis Steamers and the Milwaukee Wave, while Handsor was added via a trade with the Baltimore Blast. Both will make their debut with the Force this Saturday.

Philadelphia continues on the road to battle the two-time defending MISL Champion Baltimore Blast on Friday, November 5, before returning to the Wachovia Spectrum to kick-off the home season versus the Blast on Saturday, November 6. Game-time for the home opener is slated for 7:05 pm ET.
