Wave Look to Keep Momentum Going Saturday Night in Kansas City
January 3, 2020 - Major Arena Soccer League (MASL)
Milwaukee Wave News Release
The 7-Time Champion Milwaukee Wave is in Kansas City Saturday night to face long time rivals, the Comets.
Kickoff is scheduled for 6:05pm CST from Silverstein Eye Centers Arena.
"The last time we saw Kansas City was in the playoffs last season and they really fought us hard," said Milwaukee Wave Head Coach Giuliano Oliviero. "They still have an identity, they've got the leading goal scorer in the league in player / coach Leo Gibson and we know they are a very dangerous offensive team. We're going to have to continue to play really good defense and execute our offensive opportunities."
This is the first of 5 meetings between the two teams this season. Milwaukee sits atop the MASL Eastern Conference with a 5-1 record while Kansas City is currently ranked 7th with a 3-4 record.
"The guys have had plenty of time to recover in between games and had more time off than usual during the holidays," added Oliviero. "Mentally, I think we are rested and physically we are ready to go."

The Milwaukee Wave returns home to UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena on Sunday, January 12th at 1:07pm for a match against St. Louis Ambush.
