Fury Back in Action on Sunday in San Diego

ONTARIO, California - The Ontario Fury presented by Ford will travel south down Interstate 15 to face the San Diego Sockers on Sunday January 5th. Game time is set for 5:05pm at Pechanga Arena in San Diego and the game will be shown live on MASL.tv.

This will be the second of four regular season meetings between the two rivals. The teams met once earlier this season with the Sockers defeating the Fury 4-2 back on December 13, 2019 at Pechanga Arena in San Diego. The Sockers currently hold a record of 6-1 and 2nd place in the Western Conference while the Fury have a 2-3 record and 4th place in the West.

The Fury are currently on a 3-game road trip which includes stops in San Diego this Sunday and in Mexico next week (Jan 11 and 13) vs Sonora and Monterrey respectively. The next home game for the Fury will be on Thursday January 16 at Toyota Arena in Ontario, California against Monterrey, Mexico.

Fury Forward Franck Tayou leads the team in goals with 15 and points with 16 while Midfielder Juan Carlos Gonzalez leads the team with 5 assists and Goalkeeper Chris Toth has seen all the action in the nets this season and 5.72 goals against average.

Sockers Forward Slavisa Ubiparipovic leads the team in goals with 8 and points with 13 while Defender Cesar Cerda leads the team with 7 assists and Goalkeeper Boris Pardo has a 5-1 record and 4.64 goals against average.
