Wave Heads West to Face San Diego Sunday Night

The 7-time Champion Milwaukee Wave takes on the hottest team in the Major Arena Soccer League Sunday night, the San Diego Sockers.

"We know our work is more than cut out for us," said Head Coach Giuliano Olviero. "San Diego is rolling right now and playing with a ton of confidence. It's very impressive."

The Milwaukee Wave (6-7) are coming off a home and away series with the rival Kansas City Comets, splitting the weekend with a home win and an away loss.

The undefeated San Diego Sockers (13-0) are back in action after a 10-day break Friday night at 9:35pm CT, as they welcome Kansas City to Pechanga Arena San Diego.

"The Sockers have so many dangerous weapons that can beat you at any time," added Oliviero. "It's going to be difficult, it's going to take a team effort but we've been working hard this week and we're ready or it. We just need to show up with our 'A" game and play smart for the full 60."

First kick from Pechanga Arena San Diego is scheduled for 7:05pm (Milwaukee time).
