Please find the Waterloo Black Hawks Players of the Week listed below. Players of the Week are selected each Monday by the team's coaches and staff and posted on waterlooblackhawks.com. Later this afternoon, one of these players will be named a USHL Player of the Week.
FishSticks Millwork Offensive Player of the Week - Peter Krieger
Krieger scored two goals and set up two others during a pair of Waterloo victories which vaulted the Hawks to the Anderson Cup. He tied for the weekend team plus/minus lead at +3.
Denver Construction Defensive Player of the Week - Hayden Shaw
When goals were scored against the Hawks last weekend, Shaw was not on the ice. The rookie had a +3 plus/minus differential during the two games, pushing him to +8 during the season.
UAW Local 838 Hardest Worker - Brandon Montour
If the Black Hawks needed a goal against the RoughRiders, Montour was there to help get it. The defenseman scored a goal and had three assists, while posting a +3 plus/minus differential.
Convenient Care Heart of the Week - Jake Horton
Horton played hard all weekend, providing energy and creating scoring chances. In the ninth round of Saturday's shootout, the veteran provided the winning goal to cap a record-setting season.
