
Water-Logged Skyhawks Fail to Take Series

The Skyhawks dropped the series finale to the Worcester Tornadoes 7-4, after waiting out a two and a half hour rain delay. The Tornadoes were not affected by the delay whatsoever, scoring 6 runs in the second inning off Skyhawks starter Edisbel Benitez.
A group of relievers for the Tornadoes did the job after starter D.J. Mattox did not return for the second inning after the rain delay.
John Birtwell shut the door on the Skyhawks to record his second save of the season.
The Skyhawks travel to Atlantic City to play the Surf on Friday night with first pitch at 7:05. The pitching matchup is Brian Ford (1-2) for the Skyhawks against JC Huguet (2-2).
