Capitales starting pitcher Karl Gelinas gave up 10 hits over 7.1 innings but managed to allow only one run, as Brockton stranded 12 runners on base in Quebec's 4-1 victory over the Rox. Quebec scored three of its four runs in the third inning on back-to-back hits from CF Goefrey Tomlinson and 2B Boomer Berry. Berry raised his league-leading batting average to .407 thanks to a 2-for-3 night with a run scored and two RBI. With two outs and the potential winning run at the plate for Brockton, Capitales reliever Brian Dumesnil came in for Cristian Mendoza and forced Rox DH Guye Senjem to pop out to Berry to give Quebec the win and Dumesnil his third save of the season.

The Jackals lost for the first time in nine games Thursday night in part due to a barrage of errors. Trailing 2-0 in the bottom of the fourth inning, New Haven County took advantage of four of the Jackals' six errors on the night to bat around the lineup on its way to five runs. Two of those runs came on 3B Junior Zamora's fourth home run of the season. New Haven County starting pitcher Brad Whitworth pulled above .500 on the season at 3-2 with a seven-inning performance in which he allowed two runs on five hits with three walks and two strikeouts. For the Jackals, C Clay Kuklick went 2-for-4 with an RBI.

The Pride scored at least one run in seven out of nine innings in Nashua's 8-3 victory over the Grays. Three of those runs were unearned as the Grays committed five errors on the night. Starting Pride pitcher Tim Bausher earned his fourth win of the season thanks to six solid innings in which he allowed one run on five hits with six walks and five strikeouts. Getting the job done on offense for the Pride was C Luis Rodriguez, who went 2-for-4 on the night with a run scored and two RBI. Nashua now sits three games behind New Jersey in the league standings.
