Bausher Wins Fourth as Pride Ground Grays, 8-3

(NASHUA, NH, June 21, 2007) Tim Bausher earned his fourth win of the season Thursday night as the Nashua Pride (16-10) defeated the Can-Am League's traveling team, the Grays, 8-3, in front of a Guns and Hoses Night crowd of 2,438 at Historic Holman Stadium.

Bausher (4-2), worked seven innings for the Pride, scattering five hits, surrendering one run, walking six and striking out five. Jason Kosow pitched a scoreless eighth inning for Nashua and Steve Palazzolo was touched up for two unearned runs in the ninth.

Richard Giannotti paced the Pride offense with three hits and a pair of RBI. Luis Rodriguez had two hits and knocked in a pair of runs for Nashua. Austin Wasserman, Olmo Rosario, Jermy Acey and Bryan Duplissie also had two hits each for the Pride who pounded out a season-high 16 hits on the night.

Grays starter Beau Dannemiller (1-2) allowed eleven hits and five runs in six innings of work, suffering the loss.

Chad Gabriel of the Grays (11-16) drove in a pair of runs and had a pair of hits and a sacrifice fly.

After taking two out of three from the Grays, the Pride will move on to Yale Field in West Haven, Connecticut on Friday to open a four-game series with the New Haven County Cutters. 2-1 righthander Akira Okamoto is scheduled to open the series on the mound for Nashua.
