
Washington Takes Game Two of Series Against Windy City

Washington, PAÂ - The Washington Wild Things outscored the Windy City Thunderbolts8-6 on Saturday night at CONSOL Energy Park. Homeruns ruled the entirety of the game...Washington chalking up three while Windy City managed two.
After Windy City's Coco Johnson hit a home run in the first inning, Jimmy Yezzo answered with a three run bomb that drove in Jamal Austin and David Popkins.
The Thunderbolts second homerun came from the bat of Blair Beck in the second inning. But Washington's bats were hot, and Bryan Haar continued the home run parade with a two run shot. Logan Uxa topped it off with an eighth inning solo homerun!
Sam Agnew-Weiland (2-0) earned the victory for Washington and Zack Grotz earned his fifth save of the season.
Washington will attempt to sweep Windy City Sunday when game time is scheduled for 5:05 p.m. EDT. Tickets are available at the CONSOL Energy Park box office. In addition to it being Kid's Club Day, the Wild Things will wear a specialty jersey to commemorate Domestic Violence Awareness.Â
