
Washington Spirit's Weimer and Del Rio Placed on Disabled List

BOYDS, Md. (Aug. 6, 2015) - The Washington Spirit announced today that Laura Del Rio and Tiffany Weimer have both been placed on the Disabled List. After incurring a left ankle fracture during the Spirit match against the Chicago Red Stars on July 25, del Rio underwent surgery and will proceed with Spirit rehabilitation protocol over the next 4 months. She has been placed on the Disabled List with a season-ending injury.
Weimer has been suffering from left knee tendinitis and post ACL surgery complications. She will be following rehabilitation protocol for the next 6 weeks before determining her return to play. Weimer has been placed on the 45-Day Disabled List and will remain unavailable for a minimum of 45 days.
