BOYDS, MD - The Washington Spirit announced today that the club has traded midfielder Amanda Da Costa and the Spirit's natural fourth-round pick in the 2017 NWSL College Draft to the Chicago Red Stars. In exchange, the Spirit will be receiving a player to be named later.
"We want to thank Amanda for all she did for the Spirit," said Spirit general manager and head coach Jim Gabarra. "Trading players is always difficult. We wish Amanda good luck in Chicago."
