Washington Mystics to host 2004 WNBA Draft party

Washington, D.C. – The Washington Mystics will host its Third Annual Fan Draft Viewing Party on Saturday, April 17th at 11:30 a.m. at F Street Sports Bar. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m. with the first round of the 2004 WNBA Draft beginning at noon. All three rounds of the draft will be broadcast on NBA TV, WNBA.com and ESPN.com.

The Mystics have the second overall pick in the draft as well as a pick in the second and third rounds (15th and 28th overall). Washington Mystics fans are invited to attend the party and stay for the post draft press conference featuring Player Personnel Consultant Pat Summitt and Mystics head coach Michael Adams. Mystics player Chamique Holdsclaw will be on hand to sign autographs and take pictures.

"This will be an exciting day for the Mystics and the fact that we can share it with our fans makes it even better," said Judy Holland Burton Senior Vice President of Business and Basketball Operations.

The Mystics will play one of its two pre-season games at MCI Center on May 11th at 7:00 p.m. vs. the Indiana Fever.
