Winston-Salem Dash News Release
WINSTON-SALEM, NC - The series finale between the Winston-Salem Warthogs and the Salem Avalanche on Sunday afternoon was postponed due to heavy rain and wet grounds at Ernie Shore Field. A specific makeup date has not been determined, but a future doubleheader will be scheduled when the Warthogs travel to Salem. These two teams do not meet again at Ernie Shore Field before the end of the first half of the season, resulting in a makeup game being played at Salem.
The Warthogs continue their ten-day home stand on Monday by welcoming the Lynchburg Hillcats to Ernie Shore Field for the opener of the four-game series. The first pitch is scheduled for 7 PM. Winston-Salem is expected to start LHP Aaron Poreda (2-2, 2.72), while Lynchburg will hand the ball to RHP Michael Crotta (3-2, 3.25).
