Oklahoma Warriors News Release
OKLAHOMA CITY - Rylan Brady scored his team-leading 18th goal of the season and added two assists to help the Oklahoma Warriors win their 13th straight game with a 6-1 final over the Odessa Jackalopes Saturday at Blazers Ice Centre.
The Warriors opened scoring within the first three minutes of the game when Brady freed a puck in the corner to the faceoff dot. Brady got the puck to Brendan Williams, and Williams fed a wide-open William Lawson-Body in front of the net for the captain's eleventh of the season. The three connected for Brady's 18th with 4:23 left in the first period to give the Warriors a 2-0 lead heading into intermission.
Garrett Horsager blasted in his fifth goal in as many games, from Joey DelGreco and Drew Sutton, near the halfway mark of the second period to add another for Oklahoma during a 4-on-4. DelGreco's assist extended his individual point streak to 12 games where he has recorded nine goals and 14 assists for 23 points. Moments later, Adam Smith and Will Brenner set up Malte Hasselgren for a rush up the near side of the ice, leading to a between-the-legs goal. Odessa answered to make it 4-1 at 16:40. With 37 seconds remaining, Hunter Jones and William Ahlrik connected with Max Dronen to put Oklahoma up 5-1.
For a second straight night, Blaise Miller ended the scoring and padded the lead. Miller potted an empty net goal from Smith and Brady with 80 seconds remaining in the game.
The Warriors will take a two-game road trip to El Paso to play the Rhinos February 17 and 18 before starting an 11-game homestand at Blazers Ice Centre.
