
Bruins Battle Back But Fall 4-3 in Mason City

MASON CITY, IA - In the final meeting of the regular season between the two clubs, the North Iowa Bulls would come out on top.
In a similar fashion to Friday Night's game, the North Iowa Bulls would break the proverbial ice as Logan Dombrowsky would net the first score of the game with his 9th goal of the season. Halfway through the first period, Ocean Wallace would score while on the Chad Thomas - Exit Reality Refined Power Play to tie the game up at 1-1. That would be Wallace's 13th goal of the season with Gavin Morrissey picking up the lone assist.
It wouldn't take long for the Bruins to score in the second period, as Josh Giuliani would redirect a shot from Matt Desiderio to give the Bruins a then 2-1 lead. That lead would not hold, however, as Jack Mesic would pick up his 4th of the season to tie the game up at 2-2. In the closing seconds of the period, Bulls leading rookie Nolan Abraham would slip one past Tyler Fromolz to give the Bulls a 3-2 lead into the locker room after forty minutes of play in Mason City.
The Bulls would extend their lead to two goals after Jackson Bisson's 10th of the season at the 4:54 mark of the 3rd period. A little over two minutes later, Gavin Morrisey would tip a shot past Mitch Day to pull the Bruins back within a goal. The Bulls and Day would shut the Bruins down in the final minutes of play to come away with a 4-3 win and spilt the weekend series.
