SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - The Santa Cruz Warriors defeated the Oklahoma City Blue 109-97 in Game 2 of the NBA D-League Western Conference Semifinals on Friday night. With tonight's win over Oklahoma City, Santa Cruz has clinched the series and will advance to the Western Conference Finals.

Santa Cruz was paced by James Michael McAdoo, on assignment from Golden State, who finished with 25 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists, and 5 blocks. Mychel Thompson logged 21 points, while Ognjen Kuzmic notched a double-double with 14 points and 15 rebounds.

The Blue received solid performances from Maurice Sutton Jr. and Richard Solomon, both scoring 18 points apiece.

The first quarter was a tight battle, complete with four lead changes and two ties, with the Warriors edging the Blue by three points heading into the second period. Santa Cruz would extend their lead to 20 points heading into the break behind Mychel Thompson's 12 second quarter points.

The Warriors would hold onto that lead despite Oklahoma City's efforts to cut the margin late in the fourth quarter. The Blue's eleventh-hour rally allowed them to close the deficit to six points with 2:32 remaining. Santa Cruz would halt their momentum, outscoring the Blue 9-3 in the waning minutes of the game to sweep the series.

The Santa Cruz Warriors will play the winner of the Austin Spurs/Bakersfield Jam series in the Western Conference Finals scheduled to begin next week. Details regarding times and dates of the next round will be announced at a later time.
