
Warriors Business Operations up for Award

Moose Jaw Warriors News Release
The Moose Jaw Warriors are pleased to announce that the Business Operations team is a finalist for the 2012 WHL Business/Marketing Award. The announcement was made yesterday; however, the Warriors found out today who they will be up against. Today the Spokane Chiefs were named the WHL Western Conference nominee. This could be the first time in club history the Warriors are awarded this recognition and it is also the first time the Business Operations team has been a nominee.
The award is judged on the following criteria:
i) Contribution to the improved financial performance of the franchise
ii) Contribution to the improved interest and awareness of the Club and the League overall through effective communication and promotional programs
iii) Efficiency in providing information to other teams
iv) Innovative (includes game night promotions, community involvement, etc)
v) Improved attendance at games and media coverage
vi) Co-operative with league marketing and communication initiatives
The winners of these awards along with the WHL Player of the Year will be announced at the 2012 WHL Awards Luncheon in Calgary, Alberta on Wednesday, May 2nd, 2012.
