Saskatoon Blades Set to Battle Tigers

The Saskatoon Blades do battle with the Medicine Hat Tigers in round one of the WHL Playoffs - presented by Husky and Kal Tire.

The two teams are no strangers to each other, having met four times in the regular season this year, with Saskatoon winning three of those meetings. Saskatoon finished the WHL regular season with a record of 40-29-1-2, good for 5th in the Eastern Conference with a total of 83 points.

The Tigers finished 4th in the Conference with 90 points after going 42-24-2-4 in the regular season.

As expected in a 4 vs. 5 playoff matchup, the teams are fairly even in almost all categories.

- Individual playoff tickets game playoff tickets are also on sale now. You can get your hands on those tickets by calling 938-7800.

All it takes is a $50 deposit to ensure your season seat for next year as well as to lock in your same seat for the 2013 MasterCard Memorial Cup, so make sure you call 975-8844 today.

- What happened to former Blade Duncan MacPherson? That's the question many people have asked since Duncan disappeared over 20 years ago. Well, a new book might just have all the answers. The book "Cold A Long Time" by author John Leake is now available in the Saskatoon Blades team store. Not only will it answer questions, but 25% of all book sales will go towards Duncan's parents, who spent their retirement money looking for answers into their sons disappearance.
