Warriors and McDonald's Present "One Step at a Time" Campaign
November 10, 2008 - Western Hockey League (WHL)
Moose Jaw Warriors News Release
The Moose Jaw Warriors in partnership with McDonalds and in cooperation with the Moose Jaw Health Foundation and the Five Hills Health Region are pleased to announce the One Step at a Time campaign. With every big Mac purchased on the remaining home games this 2008-09 regular season, $1 will be donated to the renovations of a special room in the Pediatric ward at the Moose Jaw Union Hospital.
"McDonalds is very pleased to be partnering up with the Warriors and the Moose Jaw Health Foundation for this special project," commented McDonald's owner Tim Pink. "McDonalds has been a strong supporter of children's causes and this was perfect opportunity to have a large impact on those children recovering from illness right here in the friendly city."
"Moose Jaw Warriors players have been very much involved in the creative for this room", commented Warriors Dir. Community Relations Amy Moats. "The players have had wonderful ideas and are excited to be transforming the room into a room any young Warriors fans would dream of."
Some concepts that will be incorporated into the room are a floor that mimics an ice surface, rink boards along the lower walls as well a Warriors autograph wall for all current Warriors and alumni to write motivational messages to those admitted to the room for recovery.
The redesigning of the room is slated to begin as soon as possible so the Warriors and McDonalds encourage fans to visit McDonalds on home games and help in the creation of this Warriors room come true.
