Warriors Acquire Returning Player Rights to Dominique Sutton from Tulsa

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - The Santa Cruz Warriors have acquired the returning player rights to guard Dominique Sutton from the Tulsa 66ers in exchange for forward Dominic McGuire.

Sutton, 27, appeared in 48 games with the Tulsa 66ers last season, averaging 10.2 points and 6.2 rebounds in 27.8 minutes per contest. Selected sixth overall in the 2012 NBA D-League Draft, Sutton was named to the All-NBA D-League Rookie Second Team and was the 2013 NBA D-League Showcase Slam Dunk Champion. The 6-5, 209-pound guard appeared in five games at 2013 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas as a member of the NBA D-League Select Team, where Santa Cruz Warriors Head Coach Casey Hill was an assistant coach. Sutton is currently playing with Ikaros Kallitheas BC in Greece's top basketball league.

McGuire, 28, appeared in 22 games with the Santa Cruz Warriors this season, averaging 13.3 points and 9.5 rebounds in 32.1 minutes.
