TULSA, Okla., March 12, 2014 - The Tulsa 66ers acquired NBA veteran forward Dominic McGuire from the Santa Cruz Warriors in exchange for the returning players rights to guard Dominique Sutton, the team announced Wednesday.
McGuire (6-9, 235) brings six years of NBA experience to Tulsa, holding career averages of 2.7 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 342 games (84 starts). Originally drafted by the Washington Wizards in the 2007 NBA Draft, McGuire has played for seven different NBA teams, most recently the Indiana Pacers in 2012-13.
In 22 games (18 starts) with Santa Cruz this season, McGuire averaged 13.3 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists in 32.1 minutes. McGuire scored in double figures in 18 of his 22 games with the Warriors, including 10 double-double performances.
