
Warriors Acquire Guard Quinton Chievous from Available Player Pool

SANTA CRUZ, Calif. - The Santa Cruz Warriors announced today that the team has acquired guard Quinton Chievous from the NBA G League's available player pool. A 6'6 guard from Hampton University, Chievous will be active for Santa Cruz's next road game on Saturday, March 10 (tip-off 10:00 a.m. PST) against the Memphis Hustle.
Chievous has appeared in 53 games (17 starts) over the last two seasons for the Iowa Wolves, posting averages of 8.3 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists on 53.7 percent (176-of-328 FG) from the field. The 25-year-old has also played 8 games (6 starts) for Finland's Korihait in 2017-18, averaging 11.4 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists in 25.2 minutes per game.
A Kansas City, Missouri native, Chievous played collegiately for two seasons at Hampton University, scoring 17.0 points, 10.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists in his 2015-16 senior season, earning 2016 All-MEAC First Team honors.
